Where do I start. I can rattle off words like Russell Brand on steroids, but come to write for a public audience, well, I’m a bit stuck. I have never blogged. I’m not really one for talking about myself – sort of shows an insecurity. Doesn’t it?
I shouldn’t have any fear at all. I regularly contribute to a writer’s forum: Writers Online
I hope this blog might give an insight into the daily life of one who has decided to make a career of their hobby. There are many pitfalls we encounter, not the least of which is the very thin income stream we must survive on before the royalties come flooding in. Unfortunately, floods are now rare and for most, merely trickle into a bank account as a quarterly direct credit which does not even stand out among our constant stream of debits.
So we have to make do with a minimal income – or lift our game to maximise our potential, and get our work squarely into the public arena. That is my philosophy and intent.
I love writing novels. I am a scatterbrain. I can think of all manner of different atrocities, characters and resolutions. The hard work is piecing it all together. As I gather my thought processes, I will chronologies the processes by which I construct my novels, and the few short stories I submit to magazines and competitions.
