Frozen Love

Vexed by the deluge of winter’s rain
whose angst saturates my being, my sole;
conjures emotions of anger and pain;
numbs ambition of love’s eternal goal.

Heartbeat descends to a whispering murmur
I consume the rural tainted mist
during sentence to fallow pasture
and alienated from love’s tryst
my lungs absorb dank bitterness
while snow deposits blankets of white
submerging me in loneliness
through both long day and endless night.

Snowflakes continue from above
leaves me with nought but frozen love.

Paige Elizabeth Turner
Paige writes across a variety of genres, but prefers to concentrate on her crime / mystery series featuring Private Investigator Olivia Watts and her Watts Happening? Investigations agency. Also dabbling in poetry, Paige produces emotive verse from romance through to environmental issues. Writing is her lifeblood, but as experienced by many writers, there’s a shortfall of financial nutrients feeding the blood.
