Editing Time

After completing a raft of minor administrative chores, running around to printers to view proofs, proof reading online material pending publication, I now enter another demanding phase of editing and proof reading my 248 A4 page manuscript for Whisper of Death to be released on 28 June 2017. Okay, you’re right, that is far off, but the industry demands that an author be prepared at least six months prior to the anticipated publication date. With my publication schedule now fixed to 28 June and 28 November, I can take it a tad easy with Whisper of Death

The editing pen is ready, as are the eyes – both red I might add. An intensive fortnight (or more) awaits. I look forward to this change of pace. So much time has recently been spend on Beyond all Doubt, I have just about forgotten the story line as well as the minor characters of the second book in the Watts Happening? Investigations series. It didn’t start well. I found I had used a 2016 calendar instead of a 2017 for dated scene settings. Such a blatant error could cost dearly when it comes to public or industry reviews.

So, from writing, I will head to my editing.

Paige Elizabeth Turner
Paige writes across a variety of genres, but prefers to concentrate on her crime / mystery series featuring Private Investigator Olivia Watts and her Watts Happening? Investigations agency. Also dabbling in poetry, Paige produces emotive verse from romance through to environmental issues. Writing is her lifeblood, but as experienced by many writers, there’s a shortfall of financial nutrients feeding the blood.
